Thomas Welsh ’14 was selected as the 58^th pick for the Denver Nuggets in the second round of the NBA draft. During the 2017-2018 school year, he earned second-team, all-conference honors in the Pac-12 while playing for UCLA. He completed the season averaging 12.6 points and 10.8 rebounds. Thomas was one of only two players in the Pac-12 to average a double-double.  In addition, he was a finalist for the Kareem Abdul-Jabbar Award, which recognizes the top center in Division 1 Men’s Basketball.
