Dine LOYOLA Recap
Loyola High School launched Dine LOYOLA back on April 27th, and thanks to the contributions of our Cub family, the inaugural event was a large success! This initiative to promote Loyola High affiliated restaurants and establishments ran for two weeks, and the Loyola family came through to support our special restaurants during these challenging times.

Loyola boasts an impressive number of highly-regarded restaurants throughout the Southland, in Northern California and in several other states, so we were thrilled to see such excitement, enthusiasm and participation from our alumni and families. Despite the restaurant industry taking a large hit due to COVID-19, many of our alumni owners reported that they saw an uptick in sales during the #dineLOYOLA promotion. We are also happy to report that some of our Loyola restaurants have begun adding taps in their own establishments to showcase Cub-owned breweries.
Additionally, a number of these restaurants have been donating meals to senior citizens, to health care workers, to first responders and to anyone hungry and in need of a good, cooked meal. Most recently, two alumni restauranteurs—Stephen Sakulsky ’96 (Osteria La Buca) and Ryan Julio ’01 (The Greyhound Bar & Grill)—donated a full day’s proceeds to the NAACP and BLM Los Angeles, respectively. It is inspiring, but not surprising in the least as these men were taught to be Men for and with Others.
